Barbour no longer a Hokie

Virginia Tech announced today that last year's freshman star Kat Barbour is no longer on the team.

Coach Beth Dunkenberger said Barbour is in good academic standing and said she hopes the
5-foot-10 sophomore from Charlottesville will remain in school through the end of the semester and then transfer to someplace "where she can get a fresh start."

Barbour averaged 15.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in 26 games.

  1. I wish Kat the best of luck in her future basketball career. Additionally, it appears that Coach Dunkenberger is a coach that has no problems setting standards for the team. Even "stars" sometimes have to take a "fall" before they learn what it takes to fit within a team.
