Cavs win tuneup without Littles

Monica Wright and Aisha Mohammed scored 27 points apiece as the Virginia women's basketball scored a 91-77 win over DT3 in a preseason exhibition game on Friday at the John Paul Jones Arena. But forward Lyndra Littles sat on the bench in street clothes.
Coach Debbie Ryan said Littles, Virginia's second leading scorer and rebounder last season, was out for "personal reasons," and said she did know how long she would be out of action.
Guard Kristen London also sat out for "disciplinary reasons," Ryan said, and would be out for "several games."
Wright had 10 rebounds and six assists. Mohammed had six rebounds.

  1. This was supposed to be a BIG year for UVa women's basketball. Now, with the season-ending injury to shooting guard Paulisha Kellum, who averaged 9 points-a-game last year, it could be another mediocre year.

I can only go by the comments on internet message boards about the UVa program. Ha!

Are there any big contributors to UVa's women's basketball program? What do they think about the state of the program?
