FINAL: Cave Spring 58, Liberty 51
RICHMOND -- Adam Hager hit two 3-pointers early in the fourth quarter to spark a comeback and Cave Spring reached Saturday's state final with a 58-51 victory over Liberty at VCU's Siegel Center.
Cave Spring (24-6) will play Brunswick for the state title in a rematch of the 2003 Group AA final won by the Bulldogs in Lynchburg.
Josh Henderson led Cave Spring with 17 points, while Hager added 15. Clay Lacy, who opened the fourth quarter with a 3-pointer, added 13.
Liberty (22-7) led 37-29 late in the third quarter but struggled from the foul line, making just 13 of 22. Ryan Nichols led the Minutemen in scoring with 12 points.

Cave Spring has a tremendous team, maybe the best since 2003. But neither of those teams could hold a candle to their 1997 team.

I'm looking forward to seeing Josh Henderson play again! I saw him play earlier in the year, and he had ice on his leg. Lots of potential!
