5 ex-Avs are Texas League all-stars

Corpus Christi's Wladimir Sutil, Collin DeLome, Polin Trinidad and Douglas Arguello and Northwest Arkansas outfielder Jordan Parraz made the Texas League's all-star teams, the league announced on Tuesday. Arguello, though, won't participate in the July 1 game because of an injury.

Shortstop Sutil played in Salem's infield the latter half of 2006, 2007 and the first half of 2008. He was elected as a starter for the Texas League's South Division team.

DeLome leads the league with 13 home runs and he will be a reserve for the South.

Arguello (2-3, 3.29) ranks 10th in the league in ERA and Trinidad (6-4, 3.53) is tied for the league lead in wins. Both played in Salem in 2008, as did Parraz.

Parraz ranks third in the league in hitting (.357) and leads the league in on-base percentage (.454). He'll play for the North.

Parraz was the "player to be named later" when the Houston Astros acquired former Cave Spring pitcher Tyler Lumsden from the Kansas City Royals.
