Casey Kelly invited to Futures Game
Salem starter Casey Kelly has been selected to represent the U.S. in the Futures Game during Major League Baseball’s All-Star festivities.
The game pits prospects from the U.S. against those from the rest of the World on July 12 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.
Kelly, a first-round draft pick by the Boston Red Sox last June, has gone 1-2 with a 2.52 ERA with Salem. He is, though, planning to switch from pitching to playing shortstop soon.
