Bad-driver fees only part of the problem

Edwards, a Democrat, is state senator for the 21st District, which includes Roanoke, parts of Roanoke, Pulaski and Montgomery counties, and all of Craig and Giles counties.
The ill-conceived Transportation Act of 2007 -- negotiated in secret by House and Senate Republican leaders -- is only now receiving the public scrutiny it should have received during the legislative session last winter. And the public is making clear that it does not like what it sees.

The Senator is quick to point the finger at the Republicans despite the fact that the House voted 85 - 15 to pass the Bill as amended. That means at least 25 of 40 or 2/3 of the House Democrats also voted to pass the Bill.
If the Bill needs to be repealed, repeal it. If the Bill needs repair, repair it. But don't point fingers and try to blame "the other side" for the sake of political gain. That does nothing to help the citizens of the Commonwealth.

GEEZ Senator Edwards..Gov Kaine has supported abuser fees all along and every time I see him on TV or in print he's listed as a DEMOCRAT!! There was sizeable democrat support for this bill and YOU KNOW IT!!
