In March, Rep. Rick Boucher stood by the principle that immunity should not be extended to telephone companies that helped the government spy on Americans without a court's knowledge or consent. Last week, the Southwest Virginia Democrat voted to grant them that immunity. What changed his mind?

  2. predictable decision? It was 5-4 which simply amazes and scares me that our court could have as many as 4 justices unwilling to uphold the Constitution and take liberties away from our society.

    Maybe it's predictable that liberals have gained so much power within the once free America. The 5-4 vote against Guantanamo terrorist containment is proof of this.

  3. The entire US political process is so corrupt and full of crooks, I'm surprised that we have the capability to even elect a dog catcher these days.

    It's not about advancing the country forward, it's about power...absolute and unbrideled.

    The affluent think that because they supposedly pay more taxes, their voices need to be heard over those who have neither the income nor the means to pay those dreaded taxes.

    The last time I read the the Constitution, it read in part that ALL men (to include women) are created EQUAL with certain inalienable rights...

    Where did we loose sight of that little phrase?

    Sorry for my bad. With so much discussion surrounding the Constitution of late, I guess I had the right message but the wrong document.

    Document not withstanding however, I hope people will get the point.
