The Round Table

Bueller? Bueller?

The clip below's pretty funny. At a campaign event in Defiance, OH, John McCain called on "Joe the Plumber" to join him on the stage. Only one problem: he wasn't at the rally. CNN got a hold of him later, and he said the campaign had talked to him about coming to the rally, "but no one called back to confirm."

Ooops.

  4. At least he didn't call on a guy in a wheelchair to stand up.

    "Stand up, Chuck"

  5. "You can tell I'm new..." not as new as my running mate, though.

    Nice video, Henry.

  6. Dan and Henry,

The humor is appreciated. I think both McCain and Biden did a pretty good job of turning an embarassing situation into a positive one.

  7. I agree, Joe. I think Biden was mortified with himself, but recovered well, and McCain thought pretty quickly on his feet. Had I been in his position, some cuss words might have been coming out of my mouth.

  8. Or if it had been Obama, in a later interview he would have denied that he ever said it...
