Wearing the colors
The state says voters can't wear campaign apparel to the polls. Why not dress in blue or red?
New fashion rule: The State Board of Elections will prohibit voters, under penalty of law, from wearing Obama caps or McCain Tshirts to the polls. "Electioneering," it reasons, is banned within 40 feet of where Virginians cast their votes.
How anyone could mistake a voter sporting a lapel button with real electioneers -- campaign workers swarming Jane the Citizen and pushing last-minute "literature" at Joe the Voter -- stretches common sense.

The presidential election will be historic, but there are also important down-ballot races.
Tuesday's election will be historic. It will witness either the selection of America's first black president or first female vice president.
The election is historic for Virginia, too, marking the first time the state has been in play in a presidential election since 1964.

Hold a referendum on council elections
Christiansburg will circulate a petition at polling places.
Christiansburg residents on Tuesday will have a chance to participate in democracy before they even step inside their polling places. Some of their fellow citizens plan to circulate a petition outside polling places to force a referendum on November town council elections.

3) We endorse Rasoul because "Rasoul better reflects our positions"
The RT lists Goodlatte's qualifications, and admits Rasoul is an untested greenhorn. So they blast an "ideological" candidate, then admittedly make their pick based on nothing but ideology.
