How not to deal with a dead whale
Nov. 12 is one of my favorite anniversaries. On this day in 1970, they blew up a whale in Oregon.
Watch. laugh.

I saw this video on the Dicovery Channel a few weeks ago. I can't believe they tried to blow it up, but I guess the only way to learn that flying whale blubber is hazardous to your health is to do it, then realize that it wasn't such a good idea. At least the whale was already dead, that helped make for a funny video.

Why am I reminded of an episode of WKRP?
"Oh, the humanity."

This was probably one of the first, if not THE first video to be distributed virally over the internet. I remember seeing this for the first time in 1993, before AOL was hooked up to the internet. I laugh every time I see it.

I saw this long ago, but it never gets old. Especially the shot of the large chunk that hit the car.
Somewhere was a quote along the lines of...there are few applications that cannot be handled by the liberal application of high explosives.
