Wild horses
We're working on an editorial for Wednesday about wild horses and burros in the West. The Bureau of Land Management has put off deciding whether to start killing some of them to help bring the herds in line with management goals. In our editorial, we'll hope more private groups step up to take care of some of these animals, but will recognize that the government can't spend millions just to appease horse lovers and keep excess animals alive.
Take a look at this GAO report for informaiton on the situation and the options.
