Bigfoot

http://nicedeb.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/patterson_bigfoot.jpgTalk show host Ed Hale is one of these obsessive guys who can't let go of the notion - however much evidence is presented to the contrary - that Barack Obama is not a natural-born citizen and thus is ineligible to become president. Apparently, a sharp-eared listener heard his show the other night - something about a divorce document that PROVES CONCLUSIVELY that Obama was born in Kenya, but Ed can't release the full thing just now, you understand - and the listener recognized the voice from another talk show some years ago. That was when a guy going by the name "Bugs" called in to radio host Art Bell to claim he was part of a hunting party that shot two Bigfoots (Bigfeet?), killed them and buried them. He said he had a map.

The Bigfoot community has been looking for him ever since.

Now, apparently, they found him. That's right. Bugs is apparently Ed Hale.

If that doesn't earn him some credibility for his current accusation, what possibly could?

  1. How can we doubt him? After all, we have a photoshopped image that is on a blog that proves Obama was born in Hawaii. That's solid gold evidence to a profesional journalist.

McCain went to court to prove he was a citizen. Obama went to a blog.

No wonder acclaimed journalist Dan Rather got snookered by a guy in a Kinkos. It was a Kinkos!

  2. Henry,

I thought the cases challenging McCain's citizenship were dismissed - just as all the cases challenging Obama's have been dismissed.

  3. They were dismissed but Obama still never offically released his COLB. He spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep himself from spending $10. That's the beauty of this whole thing. You can never close the deal. Until Obama makes it official, it will always remain open.

  4. Henry,

Check Snopes before making claims you may have heard second hand:

  5. Henry,

All this birth certificate nonsense remains nonsense. Nothing you can do or say will make it anything less (or more) than nonsense. Obama's mother was an American citizen, ergo Obama is an American citizen. There is a published birth announcement from 1961 confirming that he was born in Hawaii. His birth certificate was examined by independent and professional journalists. Sorry he hasn't handed out a physical copy for you to examine personally.

You have nothing, because there's nothing to get, and all you are succeeding in doing by pressing this is making the Bigfoot guy look reasonable.

No matter how you spin this, the truth remains the same. The Obama campaign has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to prevent the official release of the COLB. You are saying that you accept a photoshopped image on a blog as concrete proof of something. That says more about you than me. I'm not concerned with whether he is a citizen. I am more worried about the "respected" American media giving a president a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card. If this were McCain or Bush, I don't think you guys would be making fun of it. I don't think you would accept a photoshopped image of a document from Bush.

Obama could have spent $10 and closed this door a long time ago. But he chose to leave it open. You keep trying to close it but you are finding Obama's foot in the door.

Maybe this is Obama's Gennifer Flowers move. If he can get you to roll over on this one, the next one will be a little easier. And you did roll over.

  7. Henry,

I ask you again: What do you mean by "official release"? Should absolutely anyone be able to lay their hands on the actual, physical birth certificate of the President of the United States?

Do you have documentation for the "hundreds of thousands of dollars" spent trying to prevent this "official release" that you have yet to even be able to define? I think most of these cases have been thrown out with minimal effort or cost on Obama's part because they are patently ludicrous.

There is absolutely no evidence or no reason to suspect that Obama is anything other than a full citizen of these United States. There is no reason or evidence to doubt the legitimacy and authenticity of the scanned image released by the Obama campaign (in and of itself I'm pretty sure an unprecedented step).

And, finally, there is absolutely no reason to continue this conversation. From now on, Henry, you can have it with yourself and your Bigfoot-loving friends.

  8. You know what I mean by "official release". That's the kind of release that stops all of the lawsuits by Berg, Keyes and such. Bush did it with his National Guard records. That's why that story went away. When all those people brought those lawsuits about the COLB, Obama could have released the COLB to the court and shut down the cases. Instead, he argued that he should not have to release the COLB. Arguing those cases in court is not cheap. It certainly costs more that the $10 required to get the document.

I find it ironic that Obama did not point to the photoshopped image on the blog as a release. I would be interested to know if Obama himself has ever acknowledged that document. Isn't it strange that the campaign never took that document to court and said "Here it is"? They could have saved a bunch of money by doing that.

If you believe the blog about the COLB, why don't you believe the blog about Bigfoot?
