Even the porn industry wants a bailout
Now here's a bailout Congress ought to get behind. (Must resist urge to make bad puns.) Plenty of industries are hurting these days, and that includes the adult entertainment industry. Some of the same forces affecting the newspaper industry are also hitting the adult industry. Specifically, just as people are turning to the Internet and blogs for their news more and more, people are turning to the Internet and amateurs willing to take their clothes off.
Sales are way down. Three years ago, revenue for porn was $18 billion. It's down $5 billion. People are losing jobs, and not just the ones who get naked. Two kings of the industry, Larry Flynt of Hustler fame and Joe Francis of Girls Gone Wild (are they going to reschedule that Blacksburg visit?) have proposed Congress send some bailout money their way. It's all about preserving jobs and an American industry in these hard times.

LoL they should've known that once they started giving out billions to the private sector anyone would be knocking on the door!

See and I thought they had it all figured out with online & digital content, since I remember a news article a few years ago that said they were ahead of the curve with new distribution methods that were helping them to increase sales while the movie and music industry was struggling with digital media and lagging DVD/CD sales. I guess they don't have it figured out after all. Must be all the extra-curricular activity.

Today's episode of the radio program "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me" had some great lines concerning this request, including the "stimulus package" and the "minority whip".
