Same old stuff from the City. I am not surprised by this at all. If there is some valid reason that these particular people HAD to have a raise while everyone else did not get one, then why wasn't this shared openly with the public. The City does not give a hoot what any of the residents think.

You cannot retain talent without rewarding it. It may have been bad timing, that does not make it a bad decision.

The school board recently did a beautiful job of handling the extremely complicated and touchy and sensitive issue of redistricting the schools. They invited lots of public comment and were open about the choices they were considering. For this work, they received praise from all quarters.

How did they attempt to hide these raises?

Let it go.
What?
You ok with these people giving the shaft to all the working
people and giving them a raise without confrontation.
I think they need to be held accountable.
I dont understand you sometime Sandi.
You are willing to discuss things to the death that do not really
effect us locally but yet you want to give this group of incompetent people
a pass.
I am lost.

But yes, a bad decision on their part.

I say that we fill this forum up print it in the paper and send it
to city council calling for the firing of board members that
voted for this raise.
If they dont fire them then vote the council out.
I say lets find out where they work or have a business.
Lets get everyone that is pissed and pickett there place or boycott the business.
I bet it changes pretty quick.
