Teenagers, it's been said, are more like they are today than ever before. Whatever that means. I spent Father's Day ruminating on what I've learned being dad to two teenage girls. Don't get me wrong; our girls are great kids and I'm having a ball watching them grow up. But you have to laugh at some of the foibles of teenagers.

That was precious! Yes, you do have to laugh, but woe unto you if you get caught at it. I have sooo many funny "you used to" stories that even today, at 23 and 25 my children love to hear me tell them and are mortified when I tell anyone else.
But OMG, a friend shared this story the other day and I nearly lost my bladder laughing and I am still cracking up. She was in second grade and made her mom a bookmark for Mother's Day. The teacher obviously was of the mind that it was the thought and not the spelling that mattered because a bookmark that was supposed to say "love at first sight" actually came home (and was treasured for ever) saying "love at first sh_t" You gotta laugh at that, I had tears running.
