Talking politics in today's letters to the editor.

  1. My comment is concerning "Franklin County deals with deeper budget cuts
The constitutional offices in the county are being forced to deal with new cuts totaling $294,124."

If the County is in such dire straights and cutting jobs, why on earth did the Board of Supervisors set aside funding to the tune of $161,000 for the purpose of replacing the Confederate Monument(which was destroyed by an automobile accident in 2007)

Which is more important food on someones table of a Confederate Monument?

Supervisor David Hurt needs to put his money where is his mouth is and back up his statement "We need to focus on the service to the citizens," he said. "We need to pursue every avenue to lessen the impact."

Yet again, The Board of Supervisors has demostrated their lack of concern the County residents.
