  1. 0bama further proved his incompetence and deception by touting the recent increase in GDP as evidence his socialist plan is somehow working.

What most people don't know is that government spending is a component of GDP. The illusion is that the other part, consumer demand, is also up. It isn't. Artificial short-term programs like cash for clunkers and tax credits forfirst-time homebuyer tax have temporarily ramped up the demand numbers (while costing taxpayers millions) but it's not real free market-driven sustainable demand.

The fact that this zero is taking credit for this illusion is just evidence that he's a Clinton clone; incompetent and dishonest.

  2. #1 Please read this and let it soak in.....our President did NOT run on a Socialist ticket. You are once again using fear that somehow people out there are really that bright to pick up on. Or maybe you have been listening too much to fixed network.

    Comment by Bill Hudson — October 31, 2009 @ 11:13 am

  3. Well, of course 0bama didn't run on those things. He ran on tax-cuts and other conservative-sounding ideas. Socialists know they can't win running as socialists, so 0bama did what they do best; he lied. But the proof in the pudding are his actions since taking office: government-owned health care. government-owned banks. government-owned car companies. Hundreds of billions spent on government projects.

  4. #3 Ah, I see he fooled us, the press, his own party. Let me guess, you might also think in was not born in the USA? Why not come back to earth, it's not that bad.

  5. "Republican Dede Scozzafava announced Saturday that she is suspending her campaign in the Nov. 3 House special election in New York, a dramatic development that increases the GOP's chances of winning the contentious and closely-watched race." (Politico 10/30/09)

A victory for GOP conservatives! Dede is a liberal RINO. Good riddance and she can take Newt Gingrich and the rest of the RINO's with her. The Independant in that race is a conservative Republican and should beat the Dem.

You can stick a fork in Deeds, Corzine is next.

  6. Bill,
I should say 0bama tried to put a conservative spin on his crazy socialist ideas, such as his lies about health care, cutting the deficit, and not raising taxes to finance his liberal agenda. That's how I meant he tried to act like a conservative.

If he'd truthfully articulated the details of his radical leftwing intentions, even a weakling like McCain could have beaten him.

  7. John R.,
That is great news that the liberal RINO stepped aside in NY 23. This is another huge victory for conservatives in addition to McDonnell.

What was all this talk that the GOP should go moderate, and conservatives are dead? That was the message the left has been trying to sell for the past year.

It sure is fun getting the last laugh.

    Comment by Suzie — October 31, 2009 @ 2:22 pm

  8. #6 and 7 Last I check McCain and that crazy women lost, so no, he could not and did not beat them, they lost.
But calling our President radical is funny, I can show you what radical is but I really think just throwing words out there does not help your side.
As to what is going on in NY proves my point the GOP is fighting with itself and if the right wingers really win over the party you just might lost another national election, which would not be a bad idea.

  14. Ideas are more powerful than political parties. Maybe Democrats and Republicans do not realize that.

    Comment by Glen Franklin Koontz — October 31, 2009 @ 4:11 pm

  15. #13 Yes that is very funny. Also calling our President:
    A Muslim
    Not born in the USA
and a host of other half brained ideas is not helping your side, so yes funny. Comedies have a trunk full of material from you guys, it's funny stuff.

  16. I see George Soros was a visitor to the White House. Not that it wasn't expected, really. Obama had to give him the key!

  18. Bill #8 and 12,

Actually, the GOP in New York is showing great unity. The liberal RINO dropped out and made way for the conservative. So much for the GOP dropping the conservatives, huh?

  19. Patrick...great story about Soros and a Brazilian oil company(Petrobras) and a USA gift to Brazil for oil exploration and drilling. Of course the two aren't connected and it was widely reported (cough cough..keep getting this tickle)in the MSM.

  20. George Soros is about the only Hedge funder that has a conscience concerning the greed of Wall Street. He is the only one that has supported any controls to stop hedge funds from destroying our economy for off shore. Off shore funds of Saudi Oil Money, China Money that is so large that they move the market, cause real estaste bubbles and oil bubbles over and over agian for their profit.

The Hedge fund lobby is so powerful that the SEC under Clinton and Bush can not touch it. Yet, they pay little or no tax, control the economy, bankrupt banks and industries, and do so with no controls, no regulation, no oversight.

You may not like George Soros, but, he may be the only one that can get some controls passed to stop this blight on the economy.

    Comment by Richard — November 1, 2009 @ 9:00 am

  21. George Soros is an anti-American, anti-freedom manipulator of currencies who is out 1) for himself; and, 2) to undermine the United States, economically and politically.

    Comment by Glen Franklin Koontz — November 1, 2009 @ 11:02 am

  22. You don't name any other Hedge Fund Managers, is it only George because he is trying to rein in their monopoly.

    Comment by Richard — November 1, 2009 @ 11:27 am

  23. I have no complaint with hedge fund managers. They provide a legal service which folks voluntarily avail themselves of.

My problem with Mr. Soros is as noted in post #21.

    Comment by Glen Franklin Koontz — November 1, 2009 @ 11:49 am

  24. George Soros, now there is a warm human being any liberal could love.

György Schwartz, a.k.a George Soros, was born August 12, 1930, in Hungary. The Schwartz's, who were Jewish, changed the family name to Soros in order to blend into the gentile population as the Nazis invaded Hungary.

In 1944, Adolf Eichmann arrived in Hungary to oversee the murder of the Hungarian Jews. The Soros children were given fake identity papers and were placed with Christian families. George Soros ended up with a man whose job was confiscating property from the Jews. Soros helped him with this endeaver.

Soros has called 1944 the best year of his life. Millions on Hungarian Jews died in 1944.

  25. And yet another campaign promise is broken.

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091101/ap_on_bi_ge/us_health_overhaul_flexible_spending

Obama deceitfully promised lower taxes for the middle class, claiming only people making more than $250K would see a tax increase. Sometimes, depending on which side of his mouth he was talking out of (or maybe the right teleprompter just had a different message than the left) that number was reduced to $200K or $150K. At that time the more realistic voters who weren't completely star-struck said this was not possible with his enormous spending plans.

    The prediction?

Obama would bally-hoo a modest decrease in middle class income taxes while foisting all sorts of hidden tax increases on the middle class under the guise of user fees and reversals of tax cuts. The left countered this with a disingenuous claim that these predictions were just more partisan fearmongering. The sheep, blinded by promises of change in Washington and a transparent government for the masses, dismissed the concerns. The were promised the goose that laid the golden egg. Well, so far goose eggs are about all they've gotten. Goose eggs and the foundation for skyrocketing taxes over the next three years.
