Has Susan Willis been 'vindicated'?

There's one sure way William Fleming principal Susan Willis can back up her claim that she did not cheat and deserves her job back: Release the transcript and recommendation from the panel investigating the claim.

We are planning an editorial for tomorrow that urges Willis to do so. The Roanoke School Board cannot say anything about a personnel matter. Willis told Roanoke Times reporter Courtney Cutright that she feels vindicated. There's a one, good way to verify that.

  1. Please remember that Susan Willis hired a P.R. firm to manage her image. She knows she can claim whatever she wants because the personnel files are sealed. Her statement that she was "framed" is absurd. I imagine we'll be better able to read between the lines depending on whether she retains her position. Regardless of the outcome, it's a shame that so much taxpayer money has been spent on the investigation at a time when schools can surely use every penny to educate students.

  2. Willis needs to go. William Fleming will be damaged if she returns as principal.

  6. I am not an employee of the city or RCPS. It is very clear there are two sides to this entire mess. Those who are against Susan Willis and those who are against Rita Bishop.
The blogging at wdbj's web site has been flooded with negative comments towards Susan Willis. The negative comments to Rita Bishop is miniscule in comparison.
Quite frankly I'm not sure who is the guilty party at this point. Sadly as much fun as is to make fun of ALL of the people involved in this farce the next moron who tries rob a cabbie and gets run into a block wall will probably be a recent product of the RCPS.

  7. @6 Virtually everything I hear about Willis from people who work at Fleming is negative. Of course I can't name these people.

  8. The cheers of the staff at WF when Willis is finally removed will mimic those of the Germans when the Wall fell.
