The days go on and on... they don't end. All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention, I believe that one should become a person like other people.
Where are you going today?

Why Larry Sabato is viewed as smart, I'll never know. This is the guy who picked Gore and Kerry; Gore in a landslide.
He stated, incredibly, that the huge GOP win was not a referendum on 0bama. He was also clueless about the statement made in NY-23. Like most other liberals, including the RTEB, he chose the easy face-value analysis that that election hurt the GOP because it put a Democrat in where they haven't won in a century, and that the "infighting" proved the GOP was in disarray. Far from it. Conservatives showed the GOP it needed to cleanse itself of its liberal riff raff and proved they were right by rattling off two convincing wins Tuesday by candidates who were conservative and campaigned as such.
Sabato has proven time and again he's a liberal hack. His analysis is so poorly thought out and usually wrong. How he has a job, I'll never know. Oh wait. It's UVa.

Hard to figure isn't it Suzie? A Congressman is but 1 of 435 representatives (and New York has nearly the most from any state) whereas there are only 50 governorships and a governor presides over a whole state, not a congressional district. But, because a democrat captured that lone seat, the liberal Sabato had to wave the only flag they had.
You would think a lesson or 2 in geography or mathmatics would figure into his education at some point along the way....

God bless the troops and families at Fort Hood. Please bring them peace and comfort.

Suzie and Bob...
Until the House and Senate are back in Republican control (and we all know it's not about control for Republicans....wink wink nod nod) Sabato is pretty much spot on. The governors can't really influence federal policy.
T Witten...Indeed may all those affected by the events at Ft. Hood find some kind of peace and comfort during this awful time. It's bad enough in combat but even worse when you're supposed to be safe at home.

#1The reason might of slipped by you but no need to listen to people well verse as he is on subjects. Who needs them when you have fixed network.
#4 I would not hold my breath on having the GOP back in power any time soon there. They are self destructing their own party.

Will and Bill,
If you think NY-23 was anything other than the confluence of some very unusual circumstances, wait until next November. I would advise Rep. Owens not to buy a house in DC.

@#5-"I would not hold my breath on having the GOP back in power any time soon there. They are self destructing their own party."
As much as I hate to admit it Bill is right, That's why the Democrats swept all the statewide races in landslides this year. Oh wait . . .

Here is an interesting commentary. Can't wait to hear the libs attack the author and ignore the content.

No need to attack the author with ludicrous content like this: "A president is most useful at firing up his political base, and Obama failed this first test."
Yeah. That's why we elect presidents, to fire up the base.
And this guy complains about Obama running a perpetual campaign.
Clearly, this guy believes the presidency means nothing beyond its partisan dimension.

#9 "Clearly, this guy believes the presidency means nothing beyond its partisan dimension."
Well it doesnt in Virginia for the next 3 years anyway... as evidenced by the strong liberal voting turnout on tuesday.
Comment by Marked Man (Mark) — November 5, 2009 @ 8:33 pm
Wow. 20,000 0bamacare protesters converge on Washington on six days notice. It's hard to fathom how stupid and arrogant Nancy Pelosi is for having a vote Saturday, only four days after her party got its clock cleaned because of this issue, especially when she doesn't even know if she has the votes.
But then again, she thought Democrats won on Tuesday. LOL.

@11
Nice try. Here is an actual photo of the crowd, estimated by capitol police to be less than 4000, most of whom were bussed in by astroturf groups funded by the insurance industry. Bachmann is certifiably insane, what was sad was watching the leaders of what used to be a respected party standing behind her nodding like bobblehead dolls. Is this what Republicans have become?

Art,
I suppose all the voters who buried the Democrats Tuesday were also astroturfers funded by insurance companies. Don't you understand, Art? Everybody hates this socialist crap.
Comment by Suzie — November 6, 2009 @ 7:30 am
Buzzword: "Socialist." Everyone Drink.

#12 - Art, I swear if they counted each person individually as they came through a gate you'd say the total was wrong because someone lost count and started over.
Can you show us where you got the info that "most" were bussed in and funded by insurance companies, or is that just another unfounded generalization?
