Editorial: Make report public for any chance of vindication
Make SOL report public
A principal accused of cheating says testimony clears her. She should release the transcript.
William Fleming High School Principal Susan Willis told a reporter she feels "vindicated" by a hearing into allegations that she manipulated students' schedules in order to boost state Standards of Learning scores. She expects the public to take her word that she did not cheat, despite what state Department of Education officials found. Willis could easily back up the claim that she did nothing wrong by releasing a report by the panel investigating the charges.

I'm betting she doesn't release the report.
She was the former director of testing for a Roanoke County. That job would have required her to understand and implement the most arcane aspects of the State's testing program. It's an important job, and the people I know that are responsible for this aspect school division management have to be smart, meticulous, and above all, well organized. Of all the people in her school, she should have had a background that would most likely have prevented such problems, not promoted them. That's the fishy part of this to me.

If I were in her position and the report "vindicated" me, I'd be standing on top of the Wachovia Tower throwing copies down for everyone to see. Instead, she isn't releasing it and just saying it vinidcates her.... Hmmm.... She just needs to go away quietly (too late for that)...
