  1. the health care bill....

    Comment by pammala — November 7, 2009 @ 9:38 am

  2. Tom Periello D-5th won his seat by less than 800 votes. He claims to be undecided on health care reform. Tuesday, McDonnell carried his district easily.

It will be interesting to see who he will listen to, Pelosi or his constituents. If it is the former, he can kiss his seat goodbye.

  3. I rec. a email letter that went out to alot of people from Tom P.
    on Friday.
It said should health ind be allowed to deny coverage for pre existing
    cond.
    Yes or No.
I phoned is office in D.C and told them that was a loaded question since the bill had alot more in it then that. He was looking for endoresments from his constituants from one ques.
I Questioned his aid on this and I was told that they had been fielding alot of phone calls from angry voters.
I told her that if he votes for this bill, he will be a 1 term congressmen.
Time to form the teaparty crowd in front of his offices and make sure he listens to us and not Pelosi.

  4. #3 If the teaparty folks show up I would love to know, I need a good laugh.
P.S. If you are making signs make sure to get the spelling right. Oh, and try not show show any photo's of the dead at Holocaust and or any use of Hitler or Nazism to make your political point, it's not working.

  5. Periello's dad was a doctor..wonder what advice he'd give his son.

  6. @4 if the tea party wasnt working, then how come the bill hasnt passed?

    Comment by pammala — November 7, 2009 @ 1:05 pm

  7. #6I would say keep going and bring the GOP more and more to the right. But your fear is not working and your own party knows it. They are fast becoming the party of the paranoid, delusional party.

  8. Funny, no one seems concerned about how far left the Dems have gone. Certainly not the Dem party of JFK of even Bill Clinton. The Dems are now a socialist party but they are so terribly concerned about how conservative the Rebuplicans are becoming.

    Comment by John R — November 7, 2009 @ 3:57 pm

  9. #8 When you guys keep saying that socialist thing that is when you lose me, not even close. But here is a tidbit you might not like, the guy who wrote the pledge allegiance to the Flag was a Christian socialist. His name was Francis Bellamy.
And it is not the conservatism some are concerned but the far right talking over your party and being run by some nutty people.

    Comment by Bill Hudson — November 7, 2009 @ 4:10 pm

  10. Actually, it is the Republicans who are concerned about how far right you have gone, the Dems think its great.

    Comment by Richard — November 7, 2009 @ 4:31 pm

  11. Bill and Richard,
I don't know if you noticed or not, but conservatives just buried the Democrats in Tuesday's election. You seem oblivious to that fact. I sure hope your party remains that way.

  12. According to a recent Gallup poll, the single largest identifiable political group in the US is conservatives.

When the government seeks to take over the financial sector, auto industry, health care, and the energy sector, I call that socilism.

  14. Last night the libs passed the bamacare bill taking us one step closer to higher taxes for small businesses (you know, the businesses that provide most of the jobs in this country)during a time when unemployment is over 10% and rising. They destroyed the housing market, took over the auto industry, now they are going to administer your healthcare and threaten you with jail time if you don't adhere to their policy. Illegals do not even have to report their status to gain healthcare. Pelosi and co. will just allow them to self report. Government is NOT the answer to all your problems. It will only cause you more.

America, you drank the Kool-aid and now you are getting exactly what you deserve.

  16. Congress passed the healthcare bill last night, thereby making it official that they no longer care about the Constitution.

Every one of them who voted for the bill should be thrown out of office.

Hey, Jimmy, explain how the Dems broke the housing market will ya?

Because last I looked it broke under Bushy, after years of warnings that High fees, Extreme interest rates attached to ARMs were gonna crash they system.

And Jimmy, Why don't you explain how paying health care for an illegal using a 35 dollar copay is gonna be more expensive than their current trips to the emergency room where it costs hundreds of dollars a visit, or their trips to the jail where it costs upwards of 35000 dollars a year to imprison a man who was living and producing making less than that?

And Jimmy, lets look at that takeover of the AUTO industry - you know, the business that was bankrupt, fixing to layoff tens of thousands of workers, devalue their stock to ZERO dollars and void warranties on cars already in the Hands of Americans.

Hmmm Jimmy, seems that the Government by bailing them suckers out, saving the stock value from total loss, saving all them jobs, and warranties SHOULD have a say in how that money is used - Just like you would if you loaned money.

    Takeover indeed.

Sounds like it's the conservative faction of this country sucking hard on the straw in the Kool Aid glass, drinking deep and long.

Or perhaps it's tea....like that served at a little girl's tea party. Long on imagination, short on reality and substance.

  18. Nancy Pelosi just sealed the defeat next year of many Democrats by calling for this health care vote. The Senate had sense enough to delay it. As usual, the left has to lie about what's in the bill, which includes abortion on demand. They claim elective abortions aren't covered, but virtually ALL abortions are elective. All the doctors have to do is lie about it which they've done for years in the case of late-term abortions.

This puppy is going down in flames, and those who supported it will be held accountable. Periello has sealed his doom next November. Good riddance, Tom. We didn't want you in the first place.

  19. I am just flabbergasted at the Democratic talking point on the Sunday shows that "we should withthold judgement" on Malik Hasan who was "under tremendous stress". This is just unbelievable.

Only Joe Lieberman had any sense. On FOX, he said there were strong indications that this guy is a "Muslim extremist terrorist" and if so, this was indeed a terrorist attack. Finally!

Lieberman, as we know, is an independent moderate, like the RTEB professes to love, but isn't it odd they don't like Joe?

    You sound happy. Why?

  21. Hey Jikm #14: I, for one, did not drink the cool aid and these libbers are still trying to kill me. The really sad thing is that this once great country is lost to those who want to provide everything for everyone and have someone else (me and you) pay for it. The need for a revolution is a gross understatement but in a land of stupidity all is lost.

"this was indeed a terrorist attack. Finally!

    _______________________

Way to cut off my quote, Art. The part you omitted was where expressed thanks ONE moderate or Democrat undestands what happened at Ft. Hood was an act of Islamic terrorist
The party line for Democrats, and 0bama led the way on this, was that this Malik Hasan was "overstressed". It just demonstrates Democrats are so consumed with PC crap, they are clueless about the seriousness of Islamic terrorism. It explains why, a month after generals advised 0bama to send more troops immediately, 0bama is still sitting on his hands.

    Comment by Suzie — November 8, 2009 @ 10:55 pm

  23. @22

Since you're always so concerned about what the Generals advise:

In interviews Sunday, Army Chief of Staff Gen. George Casey urged the public not to rush to conclusions about Hasan's motives with an investigation underway. He described reports about early warning signs as "speculation" based on anecdotes.

  24. Art 23,
So why did 0bama and the left not feel the need to reserve judgement on Scott Roeder's motives before an investigation was complete? Isn't it amazing how the left can use Tiller's case to falsely bash Christianity, but won't correcty identify the Ft. Hood massacre as a Muslim terrorist attack?

"Oh, we mustn't offend Muslim terrorists"
