  1. Only in Montgomery County, it seems.

Several years ago, a voting machine was 'lost' and/or left unlocked/unchecked, overnight.

It is a rather simple process to properly count and report the votes, especially with electronic machines. However, I feel that paper receipts for voters and/or ballots should be used.

Montgomery County has a history of government-related efficiency, expenditure and disclosure problems.

The building of the current courthouse became a fiasco. Foundation problems still plaque the site; bricks fell from the exterior walls not so long ago.

Cost and time overruns for town projects within the county and county projects are rampant, historically.
