Questions of the day
Did Bill Clinton's unrelenting attacks against Barack Obama in recent weeks help lead to Hillary's huge loss in South Carolina? Given the ugly primary results, should Bill pack it in and go back Harlem? If Hillary wins the White House, will this be a two-for-one presidency? I'm just askin.' You answer. (And folks, this isn't math; there is no right or wrong response on this one.)
(See what Colbert King at the Washington Post had to say about the ex-prez's conduct on the campaign trail.)
s

"If Hillary wins the White House, will this be a two-for-one presidency?"
Two socialists do not make a Republic, unfortunately.
It's sad to see anybody "attacking" another. You'd think they'd want to support their common ground while highlighting their individual ideals. After all, aren't they working to shine light on their ideals, in the hopes they will be elected so they can bring them to fruition?
Unfortunately the election turns out to be "I want this job, gimme gimme gimme". It doesn't end there. Once elected, see how many representatives respond to correspondence with vague, non-committal wording.
Don't think that my "socialists" comment indicates I'm a Republican. Hardly. I used to be very supportive of the GOP. But much like sex crimes, when it's a member of your own "family" it is much less forgotten.
I have strong fears of a Clinton presidency, both from an individual liberty and national defense standpoint. As far as being a "two-for", I do believe that both Clinton's will be in the spotlight, as Bill would likely take an Al Gore road trip for some project (I doubt he'll take Bush Sr. with him.

Let me preface this by saying I am not voting for Obama or Clinton in this election.
There are many reasons why Obama is doing so well against the Clintons.
1. People are tired of the Bushes and the Clintons. They have been in a national office one way or another since 1992.
2. People are tired of the bickering among candidates and Obama is trying to stick to the high road.
3. Hillary just doesn't get it. She has the personality of cardboard until you cross her and then all hell breaks loose.
4. I don't know if Bill is hurting her campaign or not. He is the one with the personality and charisma. I think if it were not for him she would have been blown out of the water a long time ago.
I am sorry that the first real female candidate for president was Hillary. It will be a long time before we see another female try to run.

I think that is what Lisa intended to say when she wrote "first *real* female candidate". Unfortunately I'm too young to remember any potential female candidates other than Elizabeth Dole's consideration at running.
I wouldn't be so quick to say there won't be another female candidate for a long time. Sometimes these contenders appear out of nowhere.
I don't get all the hubbub over female vs black vs other candidate, anyway. I care about issues. I'll vote for anyone that I feel will best serve the interests of the Republic.
But for those to which it matters, Obama has turned out to be a pretty charismatic candidate. On the other hand, Clinton has turned out to be, well, icy. If one wanted to vote female for female sake, there would have been better options.

How can anyone put their security in her hands when she condone her spouse actions. Women need real security not false hopes and empty promises.
Clinton accused of 1978 hotel rape
By Martin Kettle in Washington
Saturday February 20, 1999
Just a week after his acquittal in the Senate impeachment trial, Bill Clinton faces a fresh scandal about his past sexual conduct after a former campaign worker alleged that he raped her 21 years ago.
Juanita Broaddrick, who now runs a nursing-home business in Arkansas, told the Wall Street Journal that Mr Clinton raped her in the Camelot Hotel in Little Rock in 1978, when he was the state attorney-general.
The newspaper reports that Mr Clinton persuaded Mrs Broaddrick to have coffee with him in her hotel room during a conference of nursing home administrators in 1978. She alleges that he then forced her on to the bed, where he held her down, bit her lips and raped her.

Yet let me point something out too you the black vote will make no difference in this election and here is my reasoning:
I personally asked 10 Whites, 10 Blacks, 10 Filipinos, and 10 mixed nationalities during the 2004 elections were I worked at just my own scientific data this is the results…
8 Whites Voted
3 Blacks Voted
10 Filipinos Voted
10 Mixed nationalities voted
As an African American it’s sad to say the black vote will not count in this election as the last, most feel the process is rigged and will not waste the time this will give the Clinton machine a decisive hand in wining.
I voted for G. Bush and I also love the ideal of a Fair Tax…..
....And are you better off than you were four years ago!?
Your polling data is about as suspect as the pre-New Hampshire numbers. That said, obviously, the entry of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in this year's race will draw new and younger voters to the political process. So you can't compare past years with this year.--s

Okay
Let me head off the you hate Hillary crowd first. I don't hate anyone, yet there is that word despises.
Why did I post the above story to elicit a response of thought no self respecting woman would condone nor tolerate such actions in a home to do so only breeds hostility.
At the end of the day our creditability is all we have to stand on besides our word. Ladies if your husbands would have done such a thing he would be sleeping in the yard never under the same roof.
Especially not after 1 afair but, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 and so on affairs. Respect is what we want at the end of a day.
So if you have no respect for yourself why would you trust a person with your very security that will not do the right thing for her family. I know Bill Clinton isn't running for President, Hillary is but if she will lie for him wouldn't she lie to you.
Why didn't Ms. Broaddrick report this attack..
1) Every two minutes, somewhere in America, someone is sexually assaulted.
2) One in six American women are victims of sexual assault, and one in 33 men.
3)41% More Than Half of Sexual Assaults Go Unreported... 80% of victims blame themselves.

I agree completely with the Washington Post article written by Colbert King. And I believe that Bill Clinton's rude and stupid comments in SC probably did affect many voters. He has not been behaving very "presidential" in my view, and I think he has shown his true colors and his "same old style" dirty politics. I believe that character should count and I do not trust either Clinton.
Do I think we will have two Clinton's for president if Hillary should win? Somehow, I doubt it. I hope not. One would be bad enough. I do see Hillary as a very strong woman and I believe she wants to prove she can run this country -- and show that she can do it without a man fighting for her. But, I pray she will not be elected. With or without Bill's influence, I would absolutely dread another Clinton White House. I believe the answer to the problem can be found at http://www.barackobama.com.
Although my husband and I have been lifelong republicans, today we support Barack Obama. He has inspired us with a hope for real change and the opportunity to unite the country and give government back to the people. His wife Michelle Obama is equally as smart and inspiring. Good, honest people. Please, let's bring about a change! YES WE CAN!
