New Year's wish/goals?

(And it doesn't have to be anything heavy like "world peace.")

  1. I have been reading that resolutions are not a "good thing" but I did this myself 2 days ago.
I listed all the many things that I was grateful for, blessed by, in 2007. It was a list that grew and grew as I recounted my year[I keep a journal, and pencil in notes in a day planner]
Then I wrote in detail, about my hopes/dreams/wishes/plans for 2009, and then sealed it, to read this time next year, to see in actuality just how well I manifested! I have told many friends of this exercise, and all love the idea. If you have torouble strating, rent or buy the Secret, and go from there. Recount your life from memories, dreams and character to age 7. You might find as I did, that shiney, bright, loving child still dwells in my spirit; betting yours does also.
And that has a peace, unto itself......let it begin with ONE

  2. My wish: Either my current company wakes up and provides for a reasonable work-life balance, or I get a new job (soon).

World peace? What would we have to complain about if there was world peace? :)

About this blog

Shanna Flowers

In her signature plainspoken style, Michigan native Shanna Flowers peels away the layers and gets to the heart of the issues. No pretense. Just straightforward perspective. Shanna writes about local people whose circumstances reflect decisions made as near as City Hall or as far away as the halls of Congress. Other times, she weighs in on a topic because it is incredibly ridiculous. Or heartening. Or fascinating. Read Shanna's column three days a week, Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, at roanoke.com
