Roland Burris, jester and enabler
The Illinois governor, who was accused three weeks ago of trying to sell the state's vacant U.S. Senate seat, calls to offer you the position. What do you do?
a) Give it some thought.
b) Say yes.
c) Lose all credibility.
Roland Burris picked d) All of the above.
Don't know Burris. Never met the man. Never heard of the man before Tuesday. But in the tragi-comedy known as Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's life, Burris has embraced the role as jester.
Who knows what backroom deals were cut or backs scratched. But no matter how blind my ambition, I would not play the fool for a political shyster -- and pariah -- like Blagojevich. Burris, the former state attorney general, stood at Blagojevich's side as the govenor said, "Don't smear him with my crap," or words to that effect.
Burris, who has run for a number of offices, obviously is no babe in the woods of politics. Willingly volunteering to enable Blagojevich to continue his shenanigans is another sad chapter in this whole sordid mess.
Can we click our heels and loose these misfit maveric types? Or should we call up Elizabeth on Bewitched to remedy this condition? What gets me is that some ctizens still don't have a clue.....

I, too see this situation as sad and sordid. It's almost pathetic to see, what appears to be a stand-up public official (Mr. Burris) who would allow himself to be used as a political and racial pawn. It also appears the IL governor is extremely out of touch with his own political realities. However, the biggest losers are the citizens of the state of Illinois. That these shenanigans are being perpetuated as this state has produced our next President is disgusting. One could simply ask Gov. Blagejovich, "Have you no shame, sir?"

All this is just more absolute proof, as I've said here in this blog more than once, ALL PoliPigs are LIARS, THIEVES, AND CROOKS. Not a dime's worth of difference, Democrat or Republican. The 99 other Senators that say they won't seat Burris have ALL done just as bad or worse than anything Blogo may have done, and they know it. The only reason there hasn't been a big scandal in VA is because everythings legal for the local and state PoliPigs. Actions between legislators, and legislators/lobbyists that are legal in VA would be felonies in NC and WV.
So I have to laugh at the holier than thou attitude of people like Harry Reid & company. They are ALL just as slimy as BloGo or anyone he could appoint. And B. Hussein Obama came right out of the middle of this whole mess of Illinois CROOKS too, don't forget! I don't see what's the big deal, really. It's just politics as usual, and the silly Sheeple are STILL fooled by any and all of them.

If the governor had a lick of sense, he'd have pardoned himself, then resigned, but not before appointing his foul-mouthed wife to the senate seat, then he'd have a job as her page in washington.
