Photos: Senior Lady Highlanders win over the juniors
With former radio personality and current English teacher Dale Bayless announcing, the senior girls won 20-6 over their junior classmates last night at Highlander stadium. Girls from all ranges of sports participated--cross country, basketball, volleyball, track, and even non-varsity athletes. They were coached by football players, and Coach Kevin Clifford acted as head referee.
#42 Courtney Long was running back for the seniors, acquiring a large percentage of yardage.
"The juniors should have studied their foreshadowing," Bayless joked as the ball was handed over to Long repeatedly. The tradition will continue next year as this year's juniors will (hopefully all) turn into next year's seniors.
Another part of the tradition--male cheerleaders, was continued, too. Justin Williams, Alex Hanes, and Jacob Meredith danced to the "booty-shake" in kilts and pink shirts at halftime, much to the glee of the large crowd.
