Webcast talks up Salem football, Coach Bradley and Salem volleyball
It's a three-fer for Salem sports on this week's Varsity Cast, our weekly high school sports webcast.
Sportswriters Robert Anderson and Aaron McFarling talk about . . .
* Salem football: Aaron gives Robert a hard time because he picked Christiansburg to score last week, and the Spartans held the visitors scoreless instead. Robert says this week he'll make up for it by predicting that Salem will blank Blacksburg. (We posted photos from the game on Oct. 11.)
* Coach Larry Bradley: The long-time football coach at Andrew Lewis Middle School is retiring, both sportswriters acknowledged the crucial work he's done in building Salem's football program over the years. (We posted photos from the game on Oct. 10 with more on Oct. 12).
* Salem volleyball. There's a big game tonight between Salem and Hidden Valley -- and Robert says a Salem win could pretty well lock up the district.
