Mason's Cove Elementary schedules Veteran's Day events

Students at Mason’s Cove Elementary will hold a tribute to Veterans beginning at 9:30 a.m Tuesday. The tribute begins with the entire faculty, staff and student body outside at the flagpole for a flag exchanging ceremony. Members of a local National Guard unit will present a flag which was flown in Iraq and exchange for the school’s flag. Then members of VFW post 1264 will perform a 21 gun salute, play Taps, and a student will lay a wreath at the bottom of the flagpole. Guests will then proceed inside and the 3rd graders will perform patriotic songs.

  1. The Veterans' Day activities were heart-warming for all who attended. I am so proud of our students'participation in such an honorable day! They did a wonderful job on their presntations and were truly showing their respect for our great country and its heroes. We were honored to have so many military service personel in attendance, as well as veterans.
Thank you Angela, Mrs. Smith and all of the other workers behind the scenes who made this memorable day possible. You are great!
