Salem High School Book Fair is Nov. 15

Here is a press release we received from Lisa Bain:

On Saturday, Nov. 15, the PTSA, in cooperation with Barnes & Noble - Valley View will be sponsoring a book fair. If you use a voucher with Salem High School on it (which is available to download from the SHS website), when you purchase an item that day, our PTSA will get a percentage of the sale. You can do some early Christmas shopping and help support the PTSA at the same time!

Two authors will be there during the day. Christina Crouch has written a book entitled, Virginia Colleges 101. This is an "easy-to-use guide to everything you need to know about Virginia Colleges." Choosing a school, the application process and even obtaining financial aid is discussed. The other author is Chris Manning, who wrote, "One Team One Dream". This book is a "fact based account of the 1997 William Byrd High School baseball Virginia State Champions". We also hope to have SHS students involved in story telling that day and have some our students' work on display. Please plan to come out to Barnes & Noble on Nov. 15!"
