Salem Lions Club donates to Needlework Guild
On Monday, Nov. 24, Roland Wine, fundraising chair with the Salem Lions Club, presented $5,500 to the Salem Needlework Guild for their continuing mission to provide local children in need with clothing.
"I wouldn't be a Lion if it was just a good-time club, to enjoy seeing people while selling concessions at the stadium, unless every penny wasn't donated to charity," said Wine. He's been a Lion for fifty years.
"This will enable us to do our spring drive and to help out our emergency need cases," vice president Nancy Duffy said.
