Forecast for tonight's Salem Christmas parade
Weather journalist Kevin Myatt advises it will be "partly cloudy and cold" for the parade at 6:30 p.m.
That's no reason to stay home, of course. If you're going to parade, how about taking some photos to share with us? You can send them to news@sosalem.com and we'll post them right here, so you can check back through the weekend for anything you might have missed.
And why limit it to the parade? You can share any photos of holiday merriment in Salem and western Roanoke County if you'd like, whether it's the parade, or your new Christmas tree.
It's a busy weekend in Salem, so there's lots to do -- and lots to take photos of.
Here's a reminder of what's going on:
* List of Christmas events in Salem this weekend
* More on the Gingerbread Festival (And look for our paparazzi photo crew there!)
* More on Christmas events at the Salem library
Don't forget, we also have a photo of Christmas lights in Salem on our holiday lights map -- and would like photos of your Christmas lights, too.
Finally, under the holiday merriment category, here's one of our favorite photos of the week -- Katy Hanson's cat helping decorate the Christmas tree. At least, we think he was helping.
