Virginia Edge wins NRV Classic
The Virginia Edge 13U AAU team, which consists of kids from North Cross, Cave Spring and Andrew Lewis went to Christiansburg Middle School to play in the NRV Classic and went on from Jan 17-18. The Edge went on to with the championship with four wins and zero loses, which brings their record to 8-0 for the season and their second straight title. The scores of the individual games were:
Va. Edge 51versus Franklin County Wolfpack 22
Va. Edge 49 versus Franklin County Wolfpack 47
Va. Edge 40 versus NRV Elite 34 (championship)
Salem (Andrew Lewis Middle) players: Justin Marshall, Dylan McCaleb, Alex Light, Will Pratt, and Thomas Mitchem
Cave Spring: Bennett Holley, Ben Lacy, and Matthew Doughty
North Cross: Harrison Call and Zach Caveness
