Salem Forensics wins River Ridge District title, advances to Region

 

The Salem Forensics Team won its sixth consecutive River Ridge District Championship on Saturday, defeating Blacksburg 56-30 while advancing 16 of 17 entries (18 of 19 students) into the Region IV competition at Patrick Country on March 7. Salem won six individual district championships.

Dramatic: Junior Phillip Rodgers
Impromptu Speaking: Junior Michael Robertson (his third consecutive Impromptu District Championship)
Oratory: Junior Samantha Stepp
Poetry: Sophomore Jade Andrade
Prose: Freshman Emily Shelton

Duo: Juniors Newcomer/Whisler
Dramatic: Junior Jessica Scaggs
Impromptu: Junior Luke Hagele
