You might have noticed that the pig at Henry's Memphis BBQ had a new hue starting Friday. The pig switched alliances from Salem to Glenvar, thanks to some Henry's patrons from the world of Glenvar green.
Becky McConnell sent a delightful recounting of the adventure, which we understand had the blessing of owner Henry Caldwell before and during the event:
The maroon pig in front of Henry's Memphis BBQ on Main Street has changed teams. Friday, April 10, between 3 and 4 a.m., Henry's pig changed from Spartan Maroon to Highlander Green sporting a gold G on his side.
The "vandals" found out that in Salem when painting a pig green it is customary to send not one but five police cars. After reaching Henry Caldwell by phone, yes and waking him up, they found that Henry felt it was a fine idea for his Spartan Pig to be a Highlander!
From all Henry's Glenvar customers
We Love Your Pig!
Indications are that this will be at least a temporary state for the pig, with the intention of the "vandals" to bring fun and laughter for the community.

Hail, hail to ole Glenvar High
Her fighting spirit never will die!
