Photos: Glenvar's championship softball team paints Henry's pig
You've heard the expression "paint the town red"?
Well, not in Glenvar.
When Glenvar's softball team won the regional championship on Saturday, they went and painted the pig at Henry's Memphis BBQ a lovely shade of green and gold.
Penny Williams supplies these delightful photos of Glenvar's softball team celebrating its victory on the field, and then with the pig. You can view them in the slideshow above or in this photo gallery.
Painting Henry's pig has become something of a tradition lately in the good-natured rivalry between Glenvar and Salem. We've had previous posts about the painting -- and re-painting -- on April 12 and May 20 and May 22.
Glenvar's softball team plays in the state tournament today. So does Salem girls soccer. Wonder what color the pig will be by week's end?
Do you have pig photos to share? Or anything else involving Glenvar or Salem? if so, you can share at news@sosalem.com
By the way, we had a previous photo gallery of Glenvar's softball team on June 1.

I think it would be nice to leave the pig one color for at least a week. Sometimes it's only left 1 day.

I agree, I wish it would stay the same for at least one week
