Photos: Four Salem, Glenvar girls on championship team
Robin McCoy shares these photos of the Scrappers 14u softball team, which includes four girls from the Salem and Glenvar -- Emily Taylor (Salem), Katelyn Henson (Glenvar), Alyssa Blankenship (Glenvar) and Sidney Clinevell (Salem). Head Coach Ron Reynolds is from Salem and assistant coach Travis Blankenship is from Glenvar.
The team won the Bumper-to-Bumper tournament in Salem on May 30 and 31. In the title game, the Scrappers defeated the Lady Wave from Bristol, who hadn’t been scored on the entire tournament. Final score: Scrappers 4, Lady Wave 2.
