Salem Relay surpasses goal
Salem Relay for Life raised around $181,000 this year - that's $4,000 more than they did last year!Businesses, families, and friends got together to form 57 teams this year with 830 registered participants. That doesn't even count people who showed up for support or who didn't register.
"We're all just so excited, and really, for each of our community teams to go above and beyond like they did," said Jessica Huff, American Cancer Society staff partner for the Salem Relay for Life. "Any time that we can, we like to thank the city of Salem for their support ... we certainly couldn't do it without the support of the city."
