Richard Kiser is inducted into the Country Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame
Christian guitarist Richard Kiser from Salem was recently inducted into the Country Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in Branson, Mo.
On Oct. 24, Richard attended the annual awards show of the CGMA based in Branson with hundreds of other Christian recording artists. Richard, who tours all across the U S as a solo Christian guitarist was the 12th inductee into the HALL OF FAME. He is preceded by artists such as Andy Griffith, Loretta Lynn, Barbara Fairchild, and Lulu Roman, just to name a few. He is the first instrumentalist to be inducted. Even though Richard has won over 60 major awards in Gospel music, including “Instrumentalist of the Decade”, he said “This is one of the highlights of my ministry”.
Richard is a native of Roanoke and now resides in Salem, even though his concert schedule keeps him on the road over 200 days a year.
