New Kroger fuel center opens next week

UPDATE (Jan. 18): This new Kroger fuel center appears to have opened earlier than originally planned. Vehicles already are fueling up at this new gasoline station near Towers Shopping Center.

The fuel pumps are being installed, and the opening date for a new Kroger fuel center is nearing. On Monday, Kroger plans to open its new fuel center at Towers Shopping Center in Roanoke.

This will be Kroger's sixth Roanoke Valley fuel center, and its first for Southwest Roanoke. This new gasoline station on Brandon Avenue will be staffed from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. During the unstaffed hours, you can pay at the pump.

It will sell several grades of gasoline and highway diesel.

  1. Looked like they were open last night. They had the price up on the sign ($1.70 maybe, don't quite recall) and there were cars at the pumps. A couple pumps didn't quite look ready though, they had some coned off.

  2. that's a great place to finally have some gas...I used to live over in that area and there is just not a convenient gas station and that seemed such an obvious location due to the cluster of retailers at towers. glad to see some put in!
