The Sarah Palin rally in Salem doesn't start until 5:30 p.m., but people were already lining up late this morning. Among them were these folks from Southwest Roanoke County: Ethel Appel, Gina Wright-Hawkins, and Olivia (in the red) Hawkins, and sister Emma (taller, in blue) Hawkins.
They got to the Salem Football Stadium around 11 a.m. this morning. If you're wondering whether Olivia and Emma are skipping school for this today, they're not. They're home-schooled.
