Santa arrives at Tanglewood Mall on Saturday
We have breaking news from the North Pole: Sources tell us that a certain Jolly Old Elf is scheduled to make his first appearance of the season at Tanglewood Mall on Saturday. Umm, actually those sources are Tanglewood Mall itself. Here's the official release:
SANTA RETURNS TO TANGLEWOOD MALL
Roanoke, VA, November 10, 2008 – Direct from the North Pole, Santa returns to Tanglewood Mall on Saturday, November 15. His arrival marks the kick-off for the 2008 Holiday Season.
“The Man in Red” makes his appearance during Breakfast with Santa at 9:30am. The morning includes breakfast by Chick-fil-A, story time with Santa, and crafts. Tanglewood Mall continues to offer this special event for free, collecting new toys for the Marine Corps “Toys for Tots” program as “admission.” Registration for this event closed in less than 48 hours.
Breakfast with Santa is hosted in partnership with Small Smiles Dental Center.
Carolers will lead Santa in a parade to his Victorian Castle, located in the mall’s center court, just before 11:00am. Santa will be available to accept wishlists and take pictures with children daily at his Victorian Castle through Christmas Eve. Santa will again visit with “four legged children” for photos on Sunday, November 30 from 6:00-8:00pm. Domestic pets only; no exotic animals; leash or other restraint required.
“Breakfast with Santa is a holiday tradition,” said Rebecca Spaid, marketing manager. “Santa’s arrival is a morning of magic here at Tanglewood Mall, and it truly marks the beginning of the holiday season.”
