Valley AFC Revolution soccer team wins league championship

In Lynchburg on Nov 1 and 2 Valley AFC U15 Boys Revolution participated in the Hughes Dodge Region 2000 Cup tournament. With an astounding 3 to 1 record and only one goal surpassing their team, they placed second in the end. The boys played teams such as Lynchburg United, Danville Blast, the Richmond Kickers, and Greene FC Dynamo.

On Nov 10 AFC Revolution played New River Rapids clinching the Blue Ridge Classic League Championship. Their record to date is 7-0-2 with one game left against Danville.

Michael Bier, Joseph Innacelli, Saim Mustafa, Mark Mercier, and Daniel Rowe are all from SW Roanoke while the rest of the team lives in Salem, Botetourt, and Roanoke City.
