Webcast: $7,000 raised for Hidden Valley's Coach King
This week's Varsity Cast -- our weekly high school sports webcast -- pauses from the sports action for a bit to acknowledge that more than $7,000 has been raised to help Hidden Valley girls' basketball coach Brenda King with medical expenses as she fights cancer.
We've had two previous posts, with photo galleries, from the recent "Fight Like a King" rally -- on Oct. 31 and Nov. 3.
There's plenty of sports talk, too, of course -- with attention given to the state cross-country championship meet where Hidden Valley came oh so close to taking first and also North Cross football, which plays for the state championship among independent schools on Friday.
