Your online guide to the Nov. 21 issue of SWoCo

There have been a lot of exciting things happening at Southwest Roanoke County schools this past week . . . Cave Spring kicked off winter sports with Mid-Knight Madness. Hidden Valley's volleyball game played its way to the state championship game. And the North Cross football team won its state title game.

But before we get too far into things, let's take a moment to point out some of the events coming up to raise money for Hidden Valley High School basketball coach Brenda King, who is fighting cancer. Here's a list of events -- and also details on Saturday's fund-raiser down in Pulaski. This particular photo of the recent "Fight Like a King" rally at Hidden Valley is intended to help folks keep those in mind. It comes to us courtesy of John Tyree, by the way.

And now, on to this week's online extras:

* Woman killed in crash on Hunting Hills Drive
* Hidden Valley grad sends photos from Roanoke’s sister city in Korea
* Pastor bags “the buck of a lifetime”
* Mobile ocean exhibit coming to Bent Mountain Elementary School
* Photos from Veterans Day at Green Valley Elementary School
* Photos from Brambleton Center Country Store flea market
* More photos of Southwest Roanoke County folks at Layman Family Farms

AND IN SPORTS . . .

* Photos from Hidden Valley's volleyball team in the state finals
* Photos from MidKnight Madness at Cave Spring High School
* More photos from the athletic signings at Hidden Valley High School -- Ben Boggs, Lauren Hines and Abby Redick here, and Meredith Swanson here.
