How Irish is Annie Moore's?

Sometimes, controversy crops up when you least expect it.

Over on business writer Jenny Boone's retail blog, The Storefront, Jenny has reported the arrival of a new Mexican restaurant in Salem -- Baja Bistro. She also reports that Baja is looking at a possible location in Keagy Village in Southwest Roanoke County.

Some of her readers, though, started chiming in with comments about other restaurant goings-on in the Roanoke Valley -- specifically, the demise of Gunther O'Darby's in downtown Roanoke. That has prompted some comparisons with Annie Moore's Irish pub in Southwest Roanoke County -- with a lot of back-and-forth about just how Irish the place really is.

You can read about Baja, Annie Moore and, well, more right here.

So what do you think? Would you like to see a Baja Bistro in Southwest Roanoke County? What other restaurants would you like to see? And just how Irish do you think Annie Moore's is anyway? You can leave your comments below.
