Junior League hosts Bargain Bazaar at Tanglewood on Jan. 31

The Junior League of Roanoke Valley will host the third annual Bargain Bazaar and Bake Sale this year to benefit the Pediatric Blood Drive and other Roanoke Valley organizations focused on improving the lives of children.

Open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, January 31 at Tanglewood Mall, the Bargain Bazaar will feature “like new” furniture, clothing, household items, toys, baby gear, electronics, and more, all at bargain prices. The one-day bazaar and bake sale will be set up on the lower level of Tanglewood Mall. Upon entering the mall through the Applebees entrance, the space will be on the left in the former WaldenBooks location.

“The Bargain Bazaar is a perfect time to find great deals on household items and delicious baked goods while supporting the children of the Roanoke Valley,” said Katie Stevens, president of the Junior League.

All proceeds from the Bargain Bazaar benefit the 7th Annual Pediatric Blood Drive, held in March. This is the Junior League’s third year raising money through the Bargain Bazaar to benefit community causes promoting its mission to support opportunities and services for optimal physical, education, cultural, emotional and social growth and development for all women and their families.

Organized in 1927, the Junior League of Roanoke Valley, VA, is a volunteer organization for women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and to improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The Junior League of Roanoke Valley, along with 294 Junior Leagues in four countries, is a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International. The AJLI, Inc. reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins, who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to volunteerism.
