Ice in Southwest County

Weather Journal writer Kevin Myatt was out at midday in Southwest County, and he did find areas with a glazing of ice. Of what he observed, the thickest ice was around Happy Hollow Gardens and Valhalla Vineyards on Mount Pleasant Road, with about 1/10 inch on most trees, fencelines, etc. He observed spottier ice on elevated objects along Roselawn Road, where Buck Mountain Road crosses under the Blue Ridge Parkway, even some near the Summit Apartments on U.S. 220.
