The Cub Scout Troop 224 led the Back Creek Civic League in the Pledge of Allegiance last night at their meeting held at 7 p.m. at the Back Creek Fire Station (Station 11).
During the meeting the following items were discussed:
-221 Area Plan Study, which was conducted by Roanoke County last year and adopted by the Board of Supervisors earlier this year. The plan will become a part of the Roanoke County Comprehensive Plan.
-Representatives of the County's Department of Community Development reported what may have been unique about the study and its future impact on growth and development in the Back Creek area.
-Billy Driver of the County's Real Estate Valuation Department spoke about real estate assessments in Roanoke County and 2009 real estate taxes.
