Photos: Colonial Avenue Baptist takes trip to Outer Banks
Colonial Avenue Baptist guys take a trip twice a year to the Outer Banks for fishing and fellowship. This spring Todd Stafford, Jim Rhodes and Tim Thornhill made the trip and each caught a big bluefish among other various catches-sharks,skates, croakers and sea mullets. Fishermen must be aware of various changing beach closures due to nesting birds and hatching turtles. Always a peaceful place to visit, it's always better with lots of catches. Or at least big fish. The group unexpectedly drove past a shipwreck just a short distance out in the water.
