Roanoke MDA Lock-Up marks National ALS Awareness Month
ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a paralyzing muscle disease that strikes healthy, fit adults in the prime of life, often causing death within three to five years. will focus public attention on this devastating disease – and MDA’s efforts to find a cure – by sponsoring a number of activities.
During National ALS Awareness Month in May, the Muscular Dystrophy Association
In Roanoke on Tuesday, May 19, the local MDA chapter will sponsor a Lock-Up for business leaders at The Holiday Inn-Tanglewood at 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This event will provide information about ALS and raise funds to support MDA’s programs of ALS research, services and information.
